Black History Month Book Tour and Launch for Auckland College pupil.

by | Oct 6, 2022

Year 11 pupil, Latoya Likambi, started her Black History Month Book Tour and Launch for her third published children’s book this week at Toxteth Library. This was opened by Liverpool’s Lord Mayor, Cllr Roy Gladden. Our Year 8 pupils went along to Sefton Park Library yesterday, on day 2 of the tour, to listen and support her and her siblings, who are also published authors of multiple books.

As the City’s youngest authors, their goal is to create diversity in Children’s literature and inspire as many children as possible to unlock their creative genius and full potential. They are determined to inspire their peers to develop a love for reading and writing and to write their own books that will, in turn, inspire more children worldwide to read, write and tell their stories!

We would like to wish Latoya and her siblings well for the rest of the tour. You can find them at Wavertree Library on 18th October and Kensington Library on 19th October.
